zNav is an application for the Sharp Zaurus that allows you to navigate on a digital chart with your GPS receiver. GPS receivers can connect to the Zaurus through the serial port that is used for connection to a PC, or through the Compact Flash(CF) slot. zNav is compatible with charts from SoftChart International and with the ChartKit BSB version 3 charts from Maptech.
Important Note! Maptech has moved to an encrypted format with version 4 and only supports Windows at this time.

zNav reads and uses the complete chart, not just a section. Charts can be loaded directly into the Zaurus memory, into an SD/MMC memory card via the Zaurus or directly onto an SD/MMC memory card via a card reader on the PC. By utilizing an SD/MMC memory card, numerous charts can be available on your Zaurus.
